The Santa Clarita Enterprise Zone

A program that saves business money by providing special tax incentives from the State of California to qualified businesses. The Santa Clarita Enterprise Zone encompasses over 97% of all commercial and industrial zone properties within the City of Santa Clarita.

Since its designation on July 1, 2007, the Santa Clarita Enterprise Zone program has provided a collective savings of over $40 million to local businesses, created hundreds of jobs, revitalized local neighborhoods, assisted with decreasing unemployment, and made Santa Clarita an even more attractive place to do business.

The Enterprise Zone program provides tax incentives for businesses that locate in Santa Clarita and hire 'qualified' employees or make 'qualified' purchases. Then by simply filing for the State EZ Tax Credit on their next tax return, those businesses can reduce their State Income Tax by up to 50%.

Located in North Los Angeles just 30 minutes from Burbank Airport, the City of Santa Clarita received its 15-year Enterprise Zone designation from the State of California on July 1, 2007, and will be active through June 30, 2022.
